An extremely rare and exceptionally attractive tetrachalkon of Arkathias I

KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arkathias I, after circa 150 BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 18 mm, 6.00 g, 12 h), Arkathiokerta (?). Draped bust of Arkathias I to right, wearing bashlyk tied with a diadem. Rev. BAC - AKPA (sic!) Nike standing right, holding wreath in both hands and with palm frond over her left shoulder. Kovacs 31 corr. (palm frond not noted). Extremely rare and in exceptional condition for the issue. A well struck coin with a lovely dark patina and unusually clear legends. Good very fine.
